ABOUT
P.E.O. represents groups of women hoping to provide funds to help mentor young women in achieving their educational goals.
Recipients are Mount Vernon High School senior girls who have shown the highest degree of academic achievement and have also benefited their communities and school.
ELIGIBILITY
Female students from Mount Vernon High School who are pursuing a college education.
FUNDING AMOUNT
The scholarship is a one-time award and the amount is determined annually by the P.E.O. Scholarship Committee.
APPLICATION OPEN:
November 1, 2023 - April 30, 2023
Application Questions/Requirements:
- Basic student information (name, email, date of birth)
- Personal Essay on your background, interests, and future outlook (character limit: 10,000)
- Describe financial need
- Signed Letter of Recommendation
- Resume (optional)
- High School Transcript and Cumulative GPA
- SAT and/or ACT Cumulative Scores (optional)
- Describe your educational goals and career interests (character limit: 3,000)
- College of choice and reasons why (character limit: 2,000)
- Estimated annual cost of college
- Electronic Signature & Date
