Donor-Established ​Funds
That Support Our Community

These Community Funds, established by donors, are either of two types: Field of Interest Endowment Funds or Unrestricted Funds.
From these Community Funds, grants & opportunities are provided through a comprehensive process by our Board of Directors.

Basic human needs fund

Funds human services such as - housing, food, emergency support, clothing, medical needs, childcare, hygiene supplies, utilities, etc.

Basic needs for children ages birth to three endowment

Supports the needs of young children and families with funding for diapers.

Community foundation programs & operations fund

Supports the work of SCF including educational programs for nonprofits (2023), the ability to respond to needs as they arise, and promote community investment & philanthropy in Skagit County.

Community needs fund

Annually addresses some of the greatest needs in Skagit County.

The Diane Webb books for
​children program

Diane believed that for young people, books open a whole world of imagination and possibility. Diane's Books Program fulfills its mission by providing children in the Skagit community with books, inviting them to embark on a journey of lifelong learning & curiosity. To learn more click here.

The Drummond community
​opportunity fund

Supports grantmaking to meet the greatest needs of Skagit County,
​and to continue the philanthropic vision of Darrell J. Drummond.

The Help Me grow skagit Fund

Created to sustain the collaborative work of The Children's Council of Skagit County, the Help Me Grow Skagit Fund ensures that families with young children continue to benefit from the coordinated system of resources, support, and community connection. To learn more click here.

Mcintyre hall local performing arts Fund

Provides annual grant opportunities to local performing arts organizations to support the fees and expenses associated with the use of McIntyre Hall Performing Arts Center.

Skagit disaster relief fund

Supports emergency response to those in need in Skagit County, such as economic impacts of the pandemic or flooding.

The skagit force multiplier fund

Provides resources and support for military veterans initiatives, ensuring those who have served our country receive the care, opportunities, and recognition they deserve..

Funds the following areas of interest: environmental/farmland protection, youth education & development, mental health treatment & support, as well as the general welfare of humans and animals.

Youth education fund

Provides annual grants to support youth educational & development programs.
