Grant Guidelines    

Grant Applications Now Being Accepted for 2022 Annual Grant Cycle:
Now Closed
Skagit Community Foundation Online Grant System.  (linked to our online grant portal)

We use an online application process provided by Foundant Technologies. You will be able to store your organizational information, save draft applications, and submit online.
This system will keep track of your application and your request history with the Skagit Community Foundation.
Some emails will be automatically generated from the system but be assured that we are just a phone call away and we are always glad to talk in person. Be sure to add, administrator@grantinterface.com on your safe senders list within your email provider. This will prevent any response emails from being flagged as spam.

Here are the steps:
1. To register your organization today:  
https://www.grantinterface.com/Home/Logon?urlkey=skagit
2. Submit all grant applications by the specified deadline (11:45pm of that day)
3. Board of Directors will review applications
4. Skagit Community Foundation will approve selected grants
5. Notifications will be sent within two weeks of Board approval
7. Grant agreements and follow ups assigned to grantees

Skagit Community Foundation Online Grant System
Please expect to provide the following within the online application:
  • Basic Info Section: Organization Name, 501(c)3 status, Mission Statement, Key Contacts List, Website, Current Board Roster
  • Type of Support Requested: (ex. operations; program- new; program - existing; capital project; upgrades to facility or equipment, etc.)
  • ​Request, Project, or Program Name  Ex: specific program, general operations, Covid-related expenses, etc.
  • List Major Funding & Program Partners
  • Amount Requested
  • Describe Request & Purpose
  • Estimated number of people served by this project:
  • ​​Intended time frame funds will be used: Ex. one year, six months, two months, etc.
  • Additional documents or photos applicant would like to submit to support the request
  • Annual organizational budget
  • Does your organization  have internal bookkeeping controls (yes/no)
  • Most recently completed audited, reviewed, or compiled financial statements required if the request is $20,000+

Eligibility
The following are not eligible:
  • Organizations or groups without an IRS 501(c)3 designation
  • National or statewide organizations that cannot demonstrate a local presence in Skagit County
  • Re-granting organizations
  • Partisan political activities 
  • Organizations that discriminate with regard to age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, national origin, religious affiliation, or a presence of a disability

Post Grant Reporting

An email reminder will be sent from the grant portal to submit both an interim report and a final report.  Log-on to your account through the link to the grant portal. We will need to know:
  1. How the funds were used
  2. If the anticipated outcome was achieved
  3. Any challenges encountered
  4. How community impact was measured

If you are a recipient of funding from us, you must use the SCF logo in your print and social media materials that pertain to the grant. To download a high resolution copy of the logo click here. If you have any questions regarding guidelines for use of our logo, contact our Executive Director.
