​Jennifer Larson
Executive Director of Finance, Mount Vernon School District


Jennifer graduated with an A.A. from Skagit Valley College and a B.A. in Accounting from Western Washington University. Her journey into public finance began with the Washington State Auditor’s Office where she spent 7 years.  In March 2000, Jennifer made the move to the Mount Vernon School District, where she still serves as the Executive Director of Finance.  Jennifer has been a licensed Certified Public Accountant since 1996.

Jennifer served on the Skagit County United Way Board of Directors for over 25 years and is a graduate of the Leadership Skagit class of 2005.  Her contributions have been recognized with the United Way Volunteer of the Year Award in 2009 and the Ted Reep Award in 2021.
​

Jennifer lives in Mount Vernon, where she was born and raised.  Her husband Will Larson, a Conway kid, spends summers commercially fishing salmon on the Copper River Delta in Alaska.  They have been married for over 31 years and have raised 2 kids, adding a son-in-law to the family this past year.
