ABOUT
In memory of past president Dr. F. James Beckner, the Skagit-Island Counties Medical Society has created a scholarship in honor of his medical career. Dr. Beckner was a member of the Washington State Medical Association and admired physician in Skagit and Snohomish Counties for over 34 years.

This scholarship is intended for deserving medical school students from our community.

ELIGIBILITY
To qualify for the scholarship, the applicant must be from Skagit or Island Counties who will be students of medicine (MD or DO) during the current/upcoming school year. 


REQUIREMENTS
Complete the application form via the Skagit-Island Counties Medical Society website
A resume, short biographical sketch, a statement of career goals, and one letter of reference submitted via email or mail. 


FUNDING AMOUNT
The scholarship amount is a one-time award of $5,000
