The Skagit Community Foundation is a collection of many separate funds established by individual, families, charitable organizations and corporations - creating a community of donors. The funds are pooled and invested and a percentage of the income is distributed back to the Skagit community as directed by the fund or by grantmaking.

The Skagit Community Foundation manages over 50 funds. Total assets as of December 31, 2008 equaled $3,228,984. Grants totaled $242,050 in 2008.

The Skagit Community Foundation provides a vehicle for donors to establish charitable endowments for good for ever in Skagit County.

  • Acting as a catalyst to identify needs and opportunities, and to share information with corporations and organizations to shape effective responses to the communities’ needs
